  • Currently Volunteering

Having developed a lifelong passion for the outdoors through experiences in scouting, I find it pertinent to maintain a connection with the scouting organization. I have had the fortunate opportunity for the past twenty years to be involved with scouting in my home area of the United States via summer canoeing and hiking trekking programs that are run as part of local scouting camps. Counting nearly two decades of involvement in the Scouts BSA National Camping School Trek Leader training program in the Adirondack Mountains of New York, I have been an instructor with the program for the duration. I have also worked with local scout camps as a Trek and Adventure Program Director for over a decade. On average we introduce 200 or more individuals to the beauty of the outdoors every summer! I currently chair the national committee for curricular training and program development in the area of Trek Leader within the National Camping School program.
